PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration in a component image signal by reducing a scale of a circuit configuration relating to composite-component conversion. SOLUTION: An NTSC image signal that is generated through sequential processing by a reception antenna 11, a tuner 12 and an intermediate frequency amplifier circuit 13 is fed to an A/D converter 21, where the signal is A/D- converted and the converted signal is fed to a classification adaptive processing section 32. The classification adaptive processing section 32 generates primary color signals R, G, B in the lump based on the received signal. Since the NTSC signal is a signal resulting from superimposing a color subcarrier signal on a Y signal, only pixels with a same phase as that of a pixel of interest are extracted as a class tap in the classification adaptive processing by taking notice of it that differing of the phase depends on the position of the pixel. Then ADRC processing is conducted based on the pixels with the same phase as that of the pixel of interest to attain sure waveform classification and a proper component signal is obtained as a result of the classification adaptive processing.
|
