DYNAMIC IMAGE RECORDING AND REPRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record an image with high accuracy from a designated recording start instruction time by recording bit streams including a bit stream before a designated start time. SOLUTION: Received dynamic image information is coded and recorded in a 1st mode when receiving start of tentative recording, and received dynamic image information is coded and recorded in a 2nd mode when receiving start of main recording. For example, a GOD(group of picture) configuration instruction means 7 of a signal processing unit configures a GOD, in response to a signal from a GOD configuration control operation period instruction input terminal 3 and a signal from an operating form instruction input terminal 1. Before the main recording start event instruction is received, it is so instructed that the information is to be compressed as a closed GOD, and after the main recording star event instruction is received, the information is compressed through a configuration which does not limit the GOD configuration or without the use of the GOD. An image type instruction means 8 instructs a type of each image so as to obtain such a configuration.
