PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a steering column and a steering wheel from retreating large to the rear of a vehicle when the front part of the vehicle receives large load from the front of the vehicle due to a head-on collision of the vehicle. SOLUTION: This structure is provided with a bracket 2 for supporting a pedal 70 and a steering column 1, and a cross member 4 positioned in front of the bracket 2 and extended in the cross direction of a vehicle. In this case, a part on the vehicle cross direction outer side of the bracket 2 is connected to one longitudinal end of the cross member 4, and a rear face part 4a, facing the rear of the vehicle, of the cross member 4 is bent or curved to form a crush clearance S between the vehicle cross direction inner side part of the bracket 2 and the corresponding longitudinal intermediate part of the cross member 4. The lower part and upper part of the bracket 2 are respectively connected to a floor 72 of the vehicle and a fixed member 73 of a lower edge part 77 of a windshield part 76. |
