PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle the subject compound under stable maintenance by setting the Ra-value on the surface of a stainless steel in contact therewith at a specific level or lower. SOLUTION: The subject alkylamino(meth)acrylate of the formula (R1 is H or methyl; R2 is a 1-4C alkylene; R3 is H or a 1-8C alkyl; R4 is a 1-8C alkyl) (e.g. N,N-dimethylaminoethyl acrylate) is handled under its contact with a stainless steel whose surface has an Ra value specified in JIS B-0601 of <=1.6μm, pref. 0.8-0.001μm, more pref. 0.2-0.001μm. To realize the above-mentioned Ra value, any well-known polishing means (e.g. mechanical polishing means represented by buff polishing, electropolishing or complex electropolishing means enabling further high-grade smoothing) can be used.
