PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for face-jointing metallic members at good quality. SOLUTION: In this face jointing method, a heat sink 1 is fixed to a fixed jig 6, and a solder plating 51 formed on a jointed face 21 of a thin film 2 abuts on a solder plating 52 formed on a jointed face 111 of the heat sink 1 from above. While the solder platings 51 and 52 are fused by pressurizing them and heating the abutting portion, ultrasonic waves parallel to the jointed faces 111 and 21 are applied to the heat sink 1.
