PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly discriminate between long and short blocks so that increase in a quantity of codes and deterioration in sound quality do not occur, and also to make it possible to group the short blocks. SOLUTION: This digital acoustic signal encoding device is provided with a perception entropy calculating means 12 for calculating perception entropy of an input audio signal for each short transformation block, a maximum/ minimum value difference calculating means 13 for determining the difference between the maximum and minimum of the perception entropy calculated by the perception entropy calculating means 12, a comparison means 14 for comparing the difference between the maximum and the minimum, with a predetermined threshold, and a grouping means 16 for grouping the plural short transformation blocks based on the comparison result by the comparison means. |
