PURPOSE: A method for examining a forward power control function and producing an optimal parameter is provided to collect a digital gain and reverse information of forward traffic, gather a message and various information on power in a connected mobile terminal, and check a forward power control algorithm using the collected data. CONSTITUTION: A diagnosis control apparatus is connected to a base station and an HINA(High capacity IPC Node board Assemble) port, and thereby data are collected. A mobile terminal diagnosis monitor is connected to a mobile terminal, and then data are gathered. The forward power control algorithm is examined by a CDMA analysis tool, based on the collected data, and the parameter related to the forward digital gain is obtained. A field test is performed in response to change in the optimal parameter and an algorithm value.
