METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A DOOR OF A REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing refrigerator door is provided to protect the urethane foam material filling the refrigerator door from after-foaming, while achieving aesthetic enhancement by eliminating the necessity of forming an urethane injection hole at the door. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of forming a door(10) to have a vessel-shaped panel(12) which has a flange(13) directed inwardly from an end of the panel and forms an outer surface of the door, and a cover(14) which is extended in horizontal direction from the other end of the panel, has two beads(15) protruded from both ends of the cover so as to form a door pocket(11) and forms an inner surface of the door; injecting an urethane foam material(16) into the panel; assembling the cover to the rear surface of the panel by bending the cover toward the panel such that an end of the cover gets caught at the inside of the flange of the panel; and putting the panel and cover assembly into a heating furnace and foaming the urethane foam material injected into the panel.
