PURPOSE: A printing method is provided to print into a mono image by mixing three colors even in a state of installing a color cartridge when a complex machine receives fax data. CONSTITUTION: A transmitted fax data is received, and the kind of the installed cartridge is judged. Herein, a mono data print mode is performed on judging by installing the mono cartridge, and a mono image is generated by mixing three colors on judging and printed. A yellow image is printed on a position where a cyan and a magenta image are printed. Then a magenta image is printed on a position where the cyan image is only printed, and then the cyan image is only printed in the next line. Accordingly, a yellow image is printed on a position where the cyan and magenta images are printed so that the tree colors are perfectly mixed.
