LOOPBACK TEST OF ROUTE QUERY ON ATM, FRAME RELAY AND PDH NETWORK

PURPOSE: A loop back setting method using a path tracking is provided to set an accurate cell generation point and a returning point by using a path tracking in performing a loop back testing, and check a set parameter or a result by easily manipulating a permanent virtual connection(PVC) browser and a graphical user interface(GUI). CONSTITUTION: A loop back menu is opened and a detailed item is selected. that is, a PVC list is searched through a PVC browser and a parameter for selecting a loop back point is set by using a path tracking. This is to select a link and connection of an interval to be tested during the PVC connection. After the selection of the PVC is completed, NE_id(an exchange number), a slot number and a port number of the selected PVC are inputted. In the loop back generation pint, the cell number and F4/F5(VP/VC) type are selected. A set content of the loop back test is displayed at the lower end of a screen expressed as GUI. If there is an overlapped interval, an operator should test it after the loop back testing is completed for the pertinent interval. The loop back result is received as 'trap' among a simple network management protocol(SNMP).
