PURPOSE: A system and method are provided to save battery power by preventing a mobile phone from transmitting unnecessary radio wave. CONSTITUTION: A system for preventing a mobile phone from transmitting unnecessary radio wave includes a data transmitting part(12). The data transmitting part(12) includes an antenna(11) for receiving signals from a base station, a key pad(151) for a user interface, and a signal sound generator(153), and a display(152). A power supply(17) supplies power from a battery to each part. A receiving part(13) is provided to receive the signals from the antenna(11),to measure intensity of the signal from the base station, and to compare the measured intensity with a predetermined standard intensity. A control part(14) blocks the transmission when the intensity of the signal from the base station is lower than the predetermined standard intensity.
