PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a prescribed distance in a relation between camera/display and a user while the leakage of conversation contents with an opposite party to a periphery, the deterioration of portability and a complicated procedure are prevented in a portable video telephone device. SOLUTION: When a reception unit B is removed from a device main body A, a main control part 21 detects that the reception unit B is removed based on the ON/OFF state of a switch 19, controls a power source 20 to start power supply to respective circuit parts and to start communication with the reception unit B in the device main body A. In the reception unit B, a unit control part 28 detects that it is removed from the device main body A based on the ON/ OFF state of a switch 26, controls a power source 27 to start power supply to the respective circuit parts and to start communication with the device main body A. |
