PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable preventing spillage of developer during the replacement of a developer recovery container and easily replacing it without soiling periphery by providing a rotary shaft supported, with a recovery-container communicating port facing upward. SOLUTION: When a developer recovery container V is mounted on recovery- container support members 102 and 103 so as to be freely demountable, the end of a rotary shaft Do jutting out of a rotary-shaft support member is inserted into the end insertion opening of the developer recover container V which end is situated on the communicating port side. In this condition, developer discharged from the recovery-container communicating port 42a is recovered into the developer recovery container V. When a developing-unit support member is moved to a stopping position for standby, the rotary shaft Do is supported by the rotary-shaft support member, with the recovery-container communicating port 42a facing upward. Therefore, even when the developer recovery container V is demented from the recovery-container support members 102 and 103 for the replacement of the developer recovery container V, developer not spill from the recovery-container communicating port 42a. |
