PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-in contact with the inner edge of the fit-in part furnished with a groove having U-section for preventing the forefront on the open end side from falling inward beyond the limit of elastic deformation to result in deformation. SOLUTION: Over the whole length of a groove 8, a bump 9 protruding outward from the center of the bottom of the groove 8 is formed in such a degree as not impairing the flexibility of the forefront on the open end side in a U-form. An inner stress repulsive to bending is developed in the bump 9 of the bottom in U-form to hinder the forefront from plastic deformation as much as possible. In this press-in contact 1, a uniform deformation amount is given always to the inner wall surface of a through hole 3 provided in a printed wiring board 2, and as a result, contacting of the press-in contact 1 with the through hole 3 is kept uniformly and stably. |
