PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel which can prevent disengagement of a cam follower and a cam groove at a lens barrel having a frame advancing and retracting mechanism to which the cam follower is applied. SOLUTION: A second group frame 22 is fitted in the inner peripheral part of a cam frame M11 turnably supported at the lens barrel. A cam groove 11g is provided at the cam frame M11, and the cam groove 11g is provided in the cam frame M11, and the cam follower 32 fitted in the cam groove 11g is fitted at the second group frame 22. The cam follower 32 processes an edge part 32b abutting on the cam groove 11g at the maximum size part of a conical sliding surface 32a. In the case where the sliding surface 32a of the cam follower 32 is brought into press-contact with the cam groove 11g at the time of advancing and retracting driving, the edge part 32b is actuated so as to bite at the sliding surface of the cam groove 11g, so that the deformation of the frame part of the cam frame M11 and the second group frame 22 or the disengagement of the cam groove 11g and the cam follower 32 even, though they are likely to be deformed are prevented.
