PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller capable of controlling the change of a program as early as possible. SOLUTION: This controller 10 has a program memory 11 storing a control program, a physical memory 13, a physical I/O 14 storing information of a sensor, etc., a network shared memory 15 storing the data link information of the controller, etc. Further, a map information storing part 18 stores a symbol, a tag name and map information to which a channel number is allocated. And, a program is accessed with the symbol and the tag name. Thus, the program does not have to be changed since change is done by changing the channel number in the map information even if a controller such as a sensor is actually replaced and expanded.
