PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily performable a rhythmical and variable Roman type composition by making a character font file mixedly include a character extended downward or upward in a Japanese horizontal line. SOLUTION: In this character font file for computer, character groups consisting of a character group having a rectangular vertical body and a character group having a square vertical body, where the center resister of the long side of the rectangle has an equal distance from the same directional center register of the square and the short side of the rectangle. According to this character font file, a rhythmical and variable Japanese composition of Roman type can be performed.
