<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption even when a semiconductor memory is used as a recording medium for storing dynamic pictures. SOLUTION: An encoder 18 compresses an inputted image signal 17 to 30 Mbps. A decentralizer 19 decentralizes an inputted stream into 41 streams, which are recorded in a memory module 11 composed of a flash memory. A composing unit 20 puts the 41 streams back into one stream, which is outputted to a decoder 21. The decoder 21 expands the image. A counter 14 for recording outputs an address and a control signal at the time of writing to respective memories in the memory 11. A counter 15 for reproduction outputs an address and a control signal at the time of reading. A selector 16 operates in synchronism with a reference 12 and performs switching in the timing of the counter 14 or 15. A latch 24 outputs a power source select signal 23, a power-ON signal, and a power-OFF signal 25 according to instructions from a CPU 27.</p> |
