PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent outward appearance from being deteriorated by keeping a balance for an image layout even when a size of a slot in an output format differs from an aspect ratio of an image. SOLUTION: In the case that a desired template where an output format consisting of a position of a slot to which an image is inserted and of a size of the slot is decided is selected, the slot size is dynamically changed in matching with an aspect ratio of an output image (S11, S21), and the output image is inserted to the slot. The output format has ancillary information denoting a kind of the slot, and when the slot size is changed in matching with the aspect ratio of the image resulting that the slot is overlapped with a neighboring slot (S13), the slot is deleted corresponding to the ancillary information of the neighboring slot (S14). When the slot enters a margin area (S15), the size of the slot is limited fully within the margin area (S16).
