PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal that can receive arrived image data even when recording by a printer section is out of order. SOLUTION: A facsimile MODEM 10 receives an image signal from a destination facsimile terminal via a public telephone line L, decodes the signal into image data, an image memory 8 once stores the image data and an image recording section 3 prints out the image data as an image. If the image recording 3 is out of order, a detection section of the image recording section 3 detects the state and transmits the information to a main control section 1. In this case, the main control section 1 transfers the image data stored in the image memory 8 to other facsimile terminal 20a via an extension line LL1, a PBX 30 and an extension line LL2.
