PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minutely control an exposure time and to improve precision in exposure control by adjusting a timing for outputting an electric charge sweep signal by means of horizontal scanning period length unit and, besides, finely adjusting it by means of a range being not more one horizontal scanning period length. SOLUTION: An exposure time is given as the one from the point of time when substrate potential SUB is made to be high potential to the point of time (SG) for turning-on a field gate in a timing chart which indicates the exposure time of the solid-state imaging device(CCD). A value SUB-H being more than zero and less than 1H is added though the timing for permitting the substrate potential SUB to be the high one is SUB-V being the time till finally created SUB. When 1H is 100μs, for example, the value is more than 0μs and not more 100μs. The exposure time which is increased/decreased only by 1H unit (100μs) can be adjusted to be increased/decreased within a range being more than 0μs and not more 100μs.
