A test strip comprises an indicator paper 2 welded or stuck to a narrow zone edge of either a synthetic resin foil strip or a synthetic resin coated paper strip 1, the synthetic resin being insoluable in water, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, polyterephthalic acid esters, polyethylene coated polyterephthalic acid esters, polypropylene and superpolyamides. In the multi-test strip shown the edge of the indicator paper 2 is secured between the edges of two synthetic resin foils which are welded together to form a double ply-foil strip. Figs. 1b and 2b, (not shown), illustrate strips utilizing singleply resin foils. To accentuate the colour reaction of the indicator papers the resin foil strips can be dyed with contrast colours. |
