PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic locking device capable of automatically locking an article taking out opening door for an automatic vending machine when articles are not sold or also after the articles have been sold. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a switch 3 which is linked with a coin inputting device 1 operated by power supply and holds in parallel relay contacts 2 on one electrode side of the power source is connected to a relay 4, a change-over switch 6 for an article taking out opening which is connected so as to be linked with the relay 4, is arranged adjacently to an article taking out door B and holds in parallel a relay contact 5, and a door locking means 8 that is locked by an electric lot-arm projecting/burying means 7 connected to the switching terminal side is provided.
