PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly aseismic reactor containment stabilizer effective for reducing the vibration response of reactor shield walls and a reactor pressure vessel due to earthquakes in an advanced BWR plant placed in a high seismic area. SOLUTION: Stiffness of a stabilizer body 7 is guaranteed by a plate spring 8 in the constitution and connecting plugs 9 at both ends are connected with support pins having a round center to brackets 10. Bracket supports 12 are fixed with anchor bolts 13 to a ring plate 3 at the upper end of a reactor shield wall 5 at one end and on the upper inner surface of a reactor containment at the other end. By this structure and placing method, the horizontal force to the reactor shield wall 5 is effectively transmitted to the building side via the reactor containment 6.
