PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the operation (floating) of a tip seal and improve the reliability and sealability by forming a void between a bottom surface of a seal groove of a wind starting part of a lap and a back surface of a tip seal opposite to the bottom surface of the seal groove. SOLUTION: A fixed scroll 3 erectly setting a spiral lap 3b on an end plate 3a is fixed in a sealed container comprising a high pressure chamber inside thereof, and a spiral lap 4b is also erected on one surface of a end plate 4a. The laps 3b, 4b are respectively provided with the seal grooves 3d, 4d on their point parts, and a tip seal 12 for fixed scroll and a tip seal 13 for revolving scroll are respectively accomodated in the seal grooves to seal the end plates opposite to one another. The bottom surfaces of the seal grooves 3d, 4d of the wind starting parts of the laps 3b, 4b are inclined, and the voids are formed between the bottom surfaces and the back surfaces of the tip seals 12, 13 for easily guiding the high pressure gas to the back surfaces of the tip seals 12, 13.
