PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal capable of voice-communicating with a base station in a packet radio service. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal 2 is formed of; a processor 12 which fixes one channel among plural channels for voice communication between the terminal 2 and the base station 22, digitally encodes voice to generate voice information, composes voice information in the form of a voice packet and generates the assigning request of a channel for transmitting the voice packet; a transmitter 8 assigning this channel assigning request and the voice packet to the base station 22 in a network; and a receiver 10 assigned from the base station to receive ID of a channel for transmission of the terminal 2. At the time of receiving channel assignment, the processor 12 checks whether the packet is transmitted by the channel or not.
