PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power and ensure equipment safety by controlling a commercial power supply to the primary side of a second power supply transformer by a control means, monitoring the voltage of the secondary side of the second power supply transformer by the control means, and, if any anomaly is determined to be present, to bring it into non-conduction state. SOLUTION: A relay RL1 for controlling power application to the primary winding 6a of a second power supply transformer 6 and a relay RL2 for controlling a secondary winding 6d are controlled by a microcomputer 4. The microcomputer 4 also monitors the voltage of secondary windings 6c and 6d of the second power supply transformer 6. This constitution enables selection of whether all but a power supply for standby is shut off or a minimum displaying function is enabled, by separately operating two power supplies from the second power supply transformer 6 and thus allows power consumption at standby to be reduced. If an anomaly, such as excessive current consumption, occurs in a secondary circuit, damage is prevented by setting the circuit non-operating.
