PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter arithmetic unit which can prevent the variance of a DC component that is caused by a normalization error or a rounding error and can obtain a non-disturbed image of high quality. SOLUTION: The multipliers 32 and 33 multiply the input data by the coefficients Cn and Dn respectively, and an adder 34 adds together the outputs of both multipliers 32 and 33. A DC detection circuit 4 detects whether the input data are equal to a DC component. A fixed address generator 51 generates a fixed address. If the input data are equal to a DC component, a selector 52 switches the inputted address to a fixed address and outputs it. A coefficient storage part 2 generates the coefficients Cn and Dn of the fixed address and inputs them to the multipliers 32 and 33. |
