PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an intruder monitoring system which reduces storage capacity, reduces communication cost and facilitates retrieval when reproduced by fetching image data only when a person intrudes into a measuring area. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a unit where a proximity sensor 2 detects a person 1 when the person 1 intrudes into a measuring area, a CCD camera 4 is operated by a sample command of an induced image fetching device 3 and fetches image data and a unit where the image data are transmitted to a personal computer 5 in a radio system or a wired system, stored in a storage device 6, and reproduced at any time to be confirmed and can reduce communication cost and facilitate retrieval when reproduced because wasteful image data are not stored.
