PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the initial concentration of toner from being lowered and also obtain stable image gray level against durability. SOLUTION: A developing container 104 is provided with a partition member 1 at an upper part inside, and the edge 1a of the member 1 is positioned within an area X put between a tangent C1 drawn in a vertical direction and contacting with an antenna member 108 on the side of the developing sleeve 105 and a tangent C2 drawn in the vertical direction and contacting with the rotational locus of a stirring member 130 on a side far from the sleeve 105. The thickness of the elastic sheet 7b of a stirring member 7 is set so that toner carrying force may be weaker when the toner exists much and it may be stronger when the toner exists little. Thus, the initial concentration of the toner is prevented from being lowered because the new toner in the rear part of the inside of the container 104 flows in space between the member 108 and the member 130 by a large amount at a time, and the stable image gray level is obtained against the durability by supplying the proper amount of toner to a developing area side. |
