The invention relates to an optical measuring device (1) for detecting linear and/or angular movements of a device (100). Signals are generated with the aid of an optical sensor unit (2) and of a tapered aperture (8) which is attached to a rotatably mounted disc (7) and which can be moved into the beam path of the sensor unit (2). The magnitude of said signals is proportional to the magnitude of the linear and/or angular movements. The disc (7) is, on the other hand, mechanically connected to the device (100).
