VEHICULAR WARNING LIGHT HAVING A DICHROIC ELEMENT

A visible light source (S8) adapted to be mounted on the vehicle for generating visible light to be used to create warning signals which are view ed by observers remote from the vehicle. A dichroic element (82) adapted to be mounted on the vehicle and adjacent to the visible light source (S8) transmi ts at least some of the visible light (C8) generated by the light source (S8) a nd reflects at least some of the visible light generated by the light source (S8). The transmitted and reflected light (RR8) provides warning light signa ls within different wavelength ranges when viewed by an observer remote from th e vehicle.
