The arrangement has at least one support element (3) that can be rotated about a horizontal axis (2) by more than 90 degrees by a motor. It has a contact surface on which the workpiece (1) can be accommodated in a horizontal lying position when the element is in an acquisition position, whereby the workpiece can be rotated with the support element. A first transport mechanism (4) transports each workpiece horizontally from a first processing station to the support element; a second transport mechanism acquires each rotated workpiece in the horizontal position and transports it to the second processing station.
