PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the gear type continuously variable transmission to easily and positively perform a fine control of the speed in low-speed rotation area, to ensure its power-transmission while preventing reduction-damping of output torque on the low-speed side, and to sufficiently demonstrate the function as a gear type continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: Speed change gear teeth 18A of an output gear 18 having diametrical ridge-like teeth, plural ridge-like teeth parallel to their diameters on the inclined circular end face, and eccentric gear teeth 11A of an eccentric gear 11 fittedly arranged on an output shaft 2 through an eccentric means 10 and having the eccentric gear teeth 11A on its inclined side face-peripheral edge, are arranged so as to be engaged with each other in an inclined manner, and the output gear 18 is deceleratedly rotated by eccentric oscillation generated by the change in the amount of eccentricity of the eccentric gear 11 along the inclined face. A speed changing means 30 for moving the engagement point P of the speed change gear teeth 18A and the eccentric gear teeth 11A along the diametrical direction and altering a virtual engagement circle formed around the input shaft 2 is provided. The eccentric gear 11 is connected to a speed changing panel 20 which advances and retracts along the axial direction of the input shaft 2 through a joint means 21 permitting the eccentric gear 11 to be off-centered.
