<p>The present invention relates to a separation device (3) for a suction gathering apparatus such as a vacuum cleaner (1) comprising a vacuum system with vacuum means generating a vacuum in carrier air in suction hose means for gathering of solid or liquid particles that may be separated from the carrier air by means of the separation device (3) and lead into an outlet for gathering in a gathering unit (5) under atmospheric pressure, said separation device (3) comprising a housing (6) with connection means (7, 8) to the vacuum system and sluice means (9) for separation of the particles while maintaining the difference in pressure between the vacuum system and the gathering unit (5), said sluice means (9) being mounted in the housing (6) comprising a first and a second valve means (10, 11) that may be activated for the creation of an air lock (9), said valve means (10, 11) being serially arranged and alternately opened and closed at a release frequency by means of control means (12).</p> |
