The aeration device comprises two half shells (4,5) encasing the steering wheel ring (1) and the transition areas (2) to the steering wheel spokes (3). The half shells are interconnected on the edge side and fixed relative to the steering wheel frame (6). The half shells form an air guide channel with at least one air inlet hole (8) and a number of outlet holes (9). The shells are form and mechanically interlocked, and are provided with ergonomically constructed gripping recesses (10).
