An assembly to dissolve a gas, especially oxygen in liquid and enhance the quantity of gas dissolved, has an inlet pipe with filter and pressure-regulation valve for the liquid and gas, a mixing chamber, and an outlet pipe for the gas-enriched liquid. The gas inlet pipe has a pressure-reduction valve and a back-flow prevention valve. The assembly also has a control unit which regulates the incoming flow of gas to achieve a gas content in the fluid in the range from 0 to more than 100 mg/l as required, but essentially without an increase in the pressure. The inlet and outlet pipes incorporate magnetically-controlled valves.
