Ink-jet printing process and ink set for multi-colour printing

An ink jet printing process is claimed, in which at least 2 inks are printed one after the other or simultaneously. The first ink contains a dye which is precipitated by a precipitating agent (I), the first or second ink contains (I) in temporarily passivated form, the first, second or third ink contains an activator (II) for passivated (I), and the passivated (I) and activator (II) are not in the same ink. Also claimed is an ink set for this process, comprising the system described above.
