PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a grinding wheel or abrasive grain carry antibacterial property and mildewproof by mixing silver nitrate and copper nitrate in ion states, agitating and dispersing mixed sol of silica sol and alumina sol in mixed solution and obtaining antibacterial mixed sol carrying copper and silver to be antibacterial metal. SOLUTION: A part of a grinding wheel having antibacterial property or antibacterial metal coated on abrasive grain is coupled with abrasive grain, and a part is carried by alumina sol and silica sol and constitutes a coating layer due to a melting point temperature difference. Therefore, the stable antibacterial grinding wheel can be made by providing two faced antibacterial property of complex and an ion state. When polishing is performed by the grinding wheel having antibacterial property, antibacterial property of the grinding wheel is transferred to metal to be polished, silver and copper to be antibacterial metal are transferred to a scar due to polishing existing on the surface of metal and antibacterial property is obtained. These antibacterial metal are considered as ones which are physically coupled between a scar generated by a polishing work and an OH group on the surface of metal.
