PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly cope with generation of fire in a structure whose inner space is partitioned into a plurality of sections by walls suspended from a ceiling surface by preliminarily setting a relation between the walls and areas where fire has generated to make large the projection amount of the walls, and remote controlling the walls corresponding to the fire generated areas. SOLUTION: Smoke sensors S1-Sm are provided at proper positions of an inner space of this structure, and output signals therefrom are input to a control part 60. A ceiling surface in the innter space is provided with fixed walls having heights stipulated by a law and free walls dropping due to their self weights in response to operation of actuators A (A1-An) at the time of generation of fire. Also, suspended walls from the ceiling surface are provided which are increased in their projection amounts due to the fall of free walls. A control part 60 implements a table setting program 61 and a smoke insulating wall control program 62 and sets a relation between the projecting amount of suspended walls and arears where fire has generated. The part 60 remote controls each actuator A so as to properly cope with the generation of fire in various areas by the use of the set results.
