PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the life of a hammering tool by a hammering force buffer mechanism of an intermediate element in the occurrence of the cold blow of a hammering tool having an intermediate element for transmitting the reciprocating hammering motion of the hammering element using an air spring to the tip tool. SOLUTION: This hammering tool is so constructed that an intermediate element 4 is slidably held, a hammer holder 7 is disposed between a retainer sleeve 2 and a cylinder 14 through a designated clearance 10 from the retainer sleeve 2, the hammer holder 7 is provided with a recessed part 11 pressed to a flange part 12 of the intermediate element 14, and a buffer member 6 is provided for buffering the hammering force generated when the flange part 12 is pressed to the recessed part 11. The life of the hammering tool can be improved by making the compression amount which permits the buffer member 6 to keep a designated life and the clearance 10 substantially equal to each other. |
