PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover preventing spark from scattering for a rotary cutter with a simple structure that can be carried in a state less apt to open when held and lifted by a portable handle, and does not require a fixture preventing the flat folded state from opening. SOLUTION: A cover board 3 is pivotally mounted on one end of a base 2. Side plates 4 are pivotally mounted both on the left and the right sides of the cover board 3. A top plate 6 is pivotally mounted on the upper end of the cover board 3 in a standing up posture relative to the base 2. Lock pieces 8, 9 are formed on the lower and the upper parts of the both side boards 4 by cutting out the both side boards 4, or the lock pieces 8, 9 are formed on the base 2 and the top plate 6 by cutting out the peripheries of the base 2 and the top plate 6. First lock parts 10 where these lower lock pieces 8 freely lock are provided on the periphery of the base 2 or on the lower part of the both side boards 4. The second lock parts 11 where the upper lock pieces 9 freely detachably locks are provided on the periphery of the top plate 6 or on the upper part of the both side boards 4. A portable handle is provided on one end of the base 2.
