PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for drawing an optical fiber preform by simply and efficiently heating it. SOLUTION: This drawing apparatus for optical fiber preform is a heat- drawing apparatus having burners 20 and 21 which relatively move in the direction (arrow A) reverse to the direction of drawing while blowing flames 26 and 27 to the side surface of the optical fiber preform 10 which is drawn in the axial direction (arrow B), wherein the plural burners 20 and 21 are arranged on a same plane perpendicular to the axial direction and, further, a gas spraying nozzle 30 is provided to blow the gas 36 to a conical surface 12 of the side surface of the base material 10, which is formed by heating and melting using the plural burners 20 and 21. |
