PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed a sufficient amount of coolant to working tools in operation via a relatively simple structure. SOLUTION: An NC lathe includes a chuck means for holding a workpiece to be shaped in releasable fashion, an X-axis table 16 movably supported on the lathe equipment, and a coolant feeder 36 for feeding coolant to a working tool releasably mounted on the X-axis table 16 via a toolholder 24. The coolant feeder 36 consists of a coolant feed pipe 40, a plurality of feed passages 54 and 56, and nozzles 50 and 52 disposed at the ends on one side of the respective feed passages 54 and 56. The coolant feed pipe 40 is formed with a feed port 72, which is connected to the feed passage 56 for specific working tools when any one of them is used in machining.
