PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover device that allows an easy retraction of a ceiling rail extended like a bridge between two immovable covers on the opposite sides, and keeps a movable cover from accidental travel motion while the rail is brought to the retracted position. SOLUTION: A ceiling rail 8 is pivotally supported at its one end on either of the proximal upper corners of two spaced immovable covers 1 and 2, and is laid like a bridge between them. A movable cover 3 travels on the ceiling rail 8. The ceiling rail 8 is mounted at its pivotal end with a stop plate, which checks any travel motion of the movable cover 3 while the ceiling rail 8 is retracted or swung on the pivotal end.
