PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier container wherein a larger housing space can be ensured for a container body, damages can be prevented from occurring to fishery products and the like housed in the container body and deformation and breakage resulting from a load applied from above can be prevented from occurring to the container bodies when stacked up in tiers while stability in stacking up is maintained with a large-scale horizontal slippage in positions between the upside and downside restrained. SOLUTION: A carrier container is constructed in a structure wherein surrounding surface flanges 15 and 16 extending in the transverse direction are provided at the upper part and lower part of a container body 11 formed in a bottomed square boxlike shape, and the lower surrounding surface flange 16 is engaged with the upper surrounding surface flange 15 when the container bodies 11 are stacked up in tiers with the underside of a bottom wall 13 of the container body 11 placed on a position the same as or upper than the underside of the lower surrounding surface flange 16. Furthermore, a bottom wall indent 24 is provided at the lower part of the bottom wall 13, and while a side groove 23 is provided at the underside of the lower surrounding surface flange 16, a protuberant part 18 is provided at the upside of the upper surrounding surface flange 16.
