PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition based on an alkylpolyglycoside and an aliphatic alcohol and capable of preparing a stable liquid emulsion in a relatively low amount without using a stabilizer, etc., by adding a specific mixture and a specified alcohol. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 5-60 wt.% of an alkylpolyglycoside(APG) mixture comprising 10-25 wt.% of an APG of the formula: R1O(G1)x1, 10-30 wt.% of an APG of the formula: R2O(G2)x2, 0-10 wt.% of a mixture of an APG of the formula: R3O(G3)x3 with an APG of the formula: R4O(G4)x4, and 40-80 wt.% of a mixture of an APG of the formula: R5O(G5)x5 with an APG of the formula: R6O(G6)x6 (R1-R6 are each a 12C, 14C, 16C, 18C, 20C or 22C aliphatic group; G1-G6 are each a sugar residue; x1-x6 are each 1-5), and (B) 95-40 wt.% of a mixture comprising alcohols of the formula: R'OH (R' is a 12-22C aliphatic group), preferably alcohols wherein the alkyl groups are equal to the alkyl portions of the APG.
