PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating chain conveyor for carrying a carriage capable of making simple structure not required to provide a take-up device, capable of forming a pit to store shallow in depth, easy to maintain and capable of reducing facility cost. SOLUTION: It is furnished with a chain guide 12 provided along below a pair of travelling tracks 3', 3' on which a carriage 2 travels, provided to be curved to the outside by passing below a travelling track on one side and to guide and support a carrier chain with an end free to move within a roughly horizontal surface and at least one pusher dog provided on an upper part of the carrier chain with the end and to push and deliver the aforementioned carriage 2 by being engaged with an engaging member provided on the carriage in the carrying direction.
