PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically-bent endoscope that can be adjusted in response to angling down, that is, even if the bending condition or a load condition of an insertion portion changes, and that can be controlled in accordance with a bending command. SOLUTION: An angle wire 35 and a coil sheath 45 that guides the angle wire are arranged in an insertion portion 1 furnished with a bending mechanism 36. An electric motor 47 that controls the bending mechanism by drawing the angle wire, a bending switch 52 to input a control position of the electric motor, and a rotary encoder 51 that detects the position controlled by the electric motor are provided, and an angle wire displacement sensor section 61 that detects a displacement of the angle wire is provided in the insertion portion, thereby comparing the output of the rotary encoder 51 and a displacement output by the angle wire displacement sensor section, and bending the bending mechanism with the electric motor to a desired value input with the bending switch 52.
