PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shaking motion of a carriage in a printer for scanning the printing paper coated with photosensitive microcapsules by a carriage to perform printing. SOLUTION: A slide member 5i attached so as to slide along with a carriage 5 is provided between the rib 4b of a carriage guide 4 and the channel part 5h of the carriage 5. A leaf spring 10 is provided between the slide member 5i and the channel part 5h. The leaf spring 10 has an almost horizontal C-shape and the slide member 5i is pressed to the carriage guide 4 by the end part thereof. Since the slide member 5i is supported before and behind a scanning direction, even if the moment rotating the carriage 5 is generated, the carriage can counteracts this and generates no shaking motion.
